Water services have 2 flows

One from sources to customers, and another from customers to recycling:

Water Intake and Distribution Infrastructure

Pumps bring the water from wells, lakes or reservoirs to treatment facilities where drinkable water is made. The water is then either distributed to end users or placed in storage tanks.

Water Treatment and Purification

The treatment facility takes in the water and initially runs it through a pre-treatment membrane to remove larger debris. Afterwards, water is filtrated and clarified. Lastly and prior to distribution water is disinfected.

Water Processing and Reuse


Sump and sewage water together with stormwater run-off is collected in tanks and sent to a treatment facility. There filters remove debris and chlorinate the water that is used to replenish the groundwater or send it to streams or oceans.
